Nancy O'Dell's debut position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell has worked at Charleston reporting and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted also the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
